Dafydd Jones or Dewi Dywyl (1803-1868) was a Welsh balladeer.〔(Dictionary of Pseudonyms: 13,000 Assumed Names and Their Origins by Adrian Room, pg 144 )〕 His father was a carpenter in Llanybydder. Daffyd Jones gained the name Dewi Dywyll, which means Blind Davy, due to being blinded by accident. Along with writing ballads he also sang them.〔(The National Library of Wales )〕 == References ==
